Valentine's Day Makeup and Hair
This year for valentine's day I will be doing a 1950's look; hair, makeup, the dress style, ect.. all of it.
Makeup
For the makeup I will be using Tanya Burr's 1950s tutorial (picture above). The producs I will be using, step by step, are:
Beauty Balm- Urban Decay Naked Skin
Foundation- Rimmel Match Perfection
Concealer- Maybelline
Eyeliner- Maybelline Precision Liner
Mascara- Maybelline The Falsies Mascara
Bronzer- Nars Laugna Bronzer
Blush- Nars Orgasm
Lipstick- elf Matte Lipstick in
Gloss- Avon Perfect Wear in
Powder- elf HD Powder
Eyebrows- Mary Kay Eye Brow Definer in soft black
Hair
For the hairstyle I'm going for I will using Lauren Conrads 1950's Curl Waves Tutorial. I think this hairstyle is perfect for Valenine's Day. It very glamorous for a night look, but yet soft enough for a day look as well. What you want to do is curl your hair. I will be using a 2" curly iron, towards your face. You can pin them in place with a clip while you curl each secion of your head as Lauren is doing in the picture above, but for myself I will not be doing that. Im just going to curl them and let them fall. Once you have curled all of your hair you want to take hair brush and softly brush through the curls. What I do is I gather all my hair in one hand, then have the brush in the other and just brush out the ends of the curls. I think it gives a better look plus keeps most of the curl. Also, make sure you use alot of hair spary but not too much that it looks like your hair is too stiff, just enough to hold the curls i place.
My outfit
I wil be wearing this lovely black and white polka dot swing dress from Hot Topic. Its perfect to recreate a 1950's inspired look. Pair it off with some heals and a pearl jewerly and it will look like I came from the 50's.
I hoped you guys enjoyed this post. Please leave a comment on what you think and what you will wearing on valentine's day or what you are doing
