Examples of Disneybounding | YoutubeMakeup94
hey there beautifuls, some of you may have seen this post on my other blog all dedicatd to disney, , but I also wanted to share it on here as well. For those of you who dont know what disneybounding is. Well, it was all started by Leslie Kay (go check her out). Well Leslie wanted to do to fashion peieces that involved disney. You basically take color scheme and other things tha go with the character of your choice. You can do these looks casual, fancy, vintage, date night, casual fancy, ect... So many ways to do disneybounds. I will sharing some examples that I have made and describing each one just in case some of you are lost right now. Its alot easier to see it than read it to describe.
#1 Esameralda from Hunchback of Notre Dame
For this look I wanted a date night outfit, so I paired a white buiser top, you can also use just a white top, with a dark purple long a-line skirt. I added gold bangle bracelets to go with the gsypy theme, and beige oxfords to go with my vintage taste and since she does not wear shoes, a nude/beige color is perfect. You could use a darker color to match as close to your skin tone. I am a white girl so I did a nude color for me. You dont have to, but i also included a purple scarf to also go with the gsypy theme. A really easy disneybound look.
#2 Constance Hatchaway from the Haunted Mansion
Most of you will not know who this charater is. Constance is the ghostly bride in the attraction Haunted Mansion. She is known to have a axe because she has killed all of her husband, so I thought it would be so fiting to have an axe inspired bag. I love this bag and want one for myself, its so cute and perfect for this look. I wanted to do a whole 1920s Jessica Rabbit theme going for this look. Thats why I chose a long, body fitting white dress. Since she is a bride I did a black flapper birdcgae head peice. To have the birdcage as the veil inspired and to stick with the 1920s look. You can do whatever color you want (white, black, blue, ect..). I chose black to go with the whole dead, dark theme. I also paired this look with blue heels, since she is a ghost and have a blue color to her in the ride I thought it would be fitting to include "something blue." Perfect for a bride on her wedding day ;)
#3 Dutchess from the Aristocats
This movie is a rather old. I believe its from the late 50s or the 60s. I did another vintage look but with a modern twist too it. I chose a simple white skater/tea length dress(to go with the white fur). I paired that with a fur shall to give a appearance of fur for this character, you dont have to do this. I got a gold bag and gold shoes to go with the gold colar Dutchess is wearing. You could also do black or white shoes, and then add gold accessories if you wanted. I chose gold shoes because I thought there was enough white for the outfit. Another easy one.
#4 Red Queen/Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland
The red queen/queen of hearts in both versions of alice in wonderland both have black, white, gold and red colors schemes. Since I love vintage themes, I chose a red 1920s/1930s dress with a black belt. To go along with the theme, I did a heart red bag to let people know who you are dressed as. Because people might ge your outfit or what you are going for if you do not add simple accesories to the look. It helps alot, trust me. Since the queen loves red roses, I added a black hat with red roses on it. And I found these really cool 20s inspired heels that have mostly all the colors for the red queen. You could also use black shoes if you wanted to. You dont have to do the vintage theme either, it just an example of what you could do and to help you figure out what disneybounding it.
#5 Marie from the Astriocats
Marie is very easy and simple. She has white fur and a pink now. For this look I got a pale pink dress in a 50s inspired theme. I also paired it with cat-eye classes, since she is a cat and they were worn in the 50s. Gloves as another acessorie, I chose another pale pink color, you could also do white. Then to finalize this look, I found these really cute bags in cat inspired. I think any of them would go perfect for this look. For shoes I would do a nude color, black or white since there is so much pink in the outfit.
Examples I have done:
#1 Malificent from Sleeping Beauty/Malificent
This is a very simple and easy disneybound. I didnt want to go all out. I wanted to wear a dress but wanted it to be very casual. I found this awesome black dress that has wings on it from aliexpress.com. Since I saw it on the website, I always though of doing an Malificent disneybound. It goes more with the Malificent movie that starred Angalenia Jolie than the animated version. I love both version. With this look, I wanted to focus more on the purples and greens color in the makeup than the actual outfit. I would have paired this look with purple or black shoes. and maybe also for the bag as well. I would of loved to have spining wheel earrings or a pendant.
#2 Jessica Rabbit
I did this look earlier this year for Dapper Day at Disneyland, were I actaul got to meet Leslie Kay. Jesscia is rather simple. Red dress, purple gloves and red shoes. I did black shoes because I did have red shoes. I always went for a 50s look for this outfit. I chose off the shoulder because 1. I did not want to have an accident of some sort, 2. I did not want to have to keep pulling up and fixing the dress and 3. to go with the strapless but not strapless lok of Jessica Rabbit. You can pair this outfit with a roger rabbit plush or a micropone.
#3 Bellhop at Tower of Terror
I recently did this look on monday 11/7. I have had the bag since I was about 11 or 12, since the Tower of Terror opened back in 2005. I wanted to a 50s inspired bellhop look. They have red, gold and black color scheme. I did a red dress and hat with a black trimming, black shoes and gold earrings(you cant see them in the picture). It is a simple look compared to others. But thats what I do is simple and classy.
