5 hairstyles that can be done in about 5 minutes!
1.The Agile Braid Pile
This chic updo only looks complicated. If you can braid and pin, you already know how to do it.
1.The Agile Braid Pile
This chic updo only looks complicated. If you can braid and pin, you already know how to do it.
how to: Create a deep side part, and then section your hair into three parts — two in the front, and one in the back. Don't worry about making them even. Braid the back section of hair, beginning as a French braid for the first few strands and then switching to a regular braid. Braid it upwards towards the sky. It helps to flip upside-down for this step if you're not used to braiding in that direction. French braid the side section of hair close to your scalp. Braid the final section of hair. Take the back braid and pin it into a loose bun shape. If you have super-long hair, you can fold the braid over before pinning it down. Pin the next braid down across the back of your head. Complete the look by securing the final braid in the back of your hair. Don't worry about making it look too perfect. The messier the braid pile, the chicer this will look.
2. Briskly Braided Pony
If you want to pull your hair out of your face, but aren't so keen on a slicked-back look, this ponytail with the sides braided might be the solution.
how to: Create a middle part and divide your hair into two even sections. Create reverse French braids on both sides of your head. Instead of pulling the strands under each other while you braid, pull themover. This technique makes the braid more visible. Stop braiding when you reach the end of your scalp, and tie the braid off with an elastic. Tie the two braids together with an elastic. For an extra bit of flare, you can wrap a piece of hair from the ponytail around the elastic and secure it with a couple of pins — only if you have time, though. The frizzier this 'do gets, the better, as it's all about creating volume around your face
3. The Go-Getter Bun
Not too tight, not too loose, this bun strikes the perfect balance — and you can do it with your eyes closed.
how to: Tie your hair into a high ponytail. Grab the loop of hair with your entire hand and smoosh (that's totally a technical term, right?) it upwards against your scalp. Then, still holding it, add pins only where the tips of your fingers are. You don't need any more pins than that. Which makes sense, since you don't need more fingers than that to hold it in place. The end result? A fabulously loose yet completely sturdy bun fit for the coolest princess.
4. The Instant-Classic Pony
Is your low ponytail starting to feel a little basic? Maybe it just needs a twist.
how to: Create a deep side part, and divide your hair into two even sections. Pull the left section to the middle, and add pins in a vertical line. You want to create a spine of bobby pins. Like the spine of a book to keep it in place. These pins are going to be the core of the style, so make sure they're really in there. Pull the right section of hair over the left section. Wrap the right section around the left until you run out of hair, and pin the wrap in place. Add enough pins to get it to stay put. You'll be cool as a cucumber with your hair out of the way — and it'll stay like that all day.
5. The Ready-Set-Go Ponytail
This might be the slickest look ever. With a deep side part, high-shine gel, and a well-placed detail, your pony has never felt so cool.
how to: Make a deep side part, and tie your hair into a low ponytail. Take a strand from the bottom of the ponytail and wrap it around the elastic, pinning as you go. Grab a high-shine gel, and smooth it over your hair. The more you use, the wetter it'll look. This ultra-slick wet-look pony is the perfect way to take your 'do into the evening. Anyone else ready for a margarita? Seriously, where are the margaritas already?
